I was a kid who never could fit in, not even in six years together in primary school.
I kind of, but not completely, fit in during my middle-school years (except when I was 14 and suffering from severe depression).
My high-school years in a boarding school… were socially disastrous. I was the fish out of the water.
I just couldn’t connect.
And when I still couldn’t connect as an undergrad, whether with the friendly Scots or with my fellow Malaysians…
…I felt that I was doomed.
