There’s a film called Cloud Atlas which came out sometime this year. It’s supposedly very good if you like complex plots. Assuming it does the novel adaptation properly and keep it mostly straight.
Only problem is, the first time I ever heard about it is on io9’s article listing the best science fiction films of 2012. It’s long over.
Maybe I should read io9 more often.
Not much chance of finding the novel Cloud Atlas in this town… although there may be a chance of finding the DVD. What does that tell you about our culture that the film adaptation is easier to find than the book?
