I’m investigating QPython+ which is a way of getting Python to run on Android. Or rather, you can write an Android app in Python using QPython. It is still in Beta and the documentation is far from complete (ie almost nonexistant), but it promises a fun and compact way to run Python scripts on Android, once installed.

It seems to be built on SL4A (Scripting Languages for Android), which may have to be installed beforehand… it seems to have more written material for it than QPython.
